Community Support
Quay Credit Union and its staff are very proud to support the following not for profit organisations:
CUFA
Quay Credit Union is proud to support the projects and work of the Credit Union Foundation of Australia (CUFA).
CUFA is a not-for-profit development organisation that works alongside Australian credit unions to promote and achieve sustainable corporate, economic, social and environmental practice, and to promote financial and social well-being in communities.
CUFA helps develop credit unions in the Asia Pacific region, to assist poor families to improve their lives, by ensuring the safety of their savings, so that they can experience financial security. Unfortunately, many families in the region are kept in poverty due to their reliance on unscrupulous money lenders.
The CUFA Village Entrepreneur Initiative establishes support and the essential start up funding for micro-business development in Cambodia and Timor-Leste, with Australian Community Investors pledging their support with just over a $1 a day.
To find out more about CUFA or how you can get involved go to www.cufa.com.au
Nelune Foundation
The Quay Credit Union staff are proud to support the Nelune Foundation.
The NELUNE Foundation is a not-for-profit charity that supports children, adolescents, adults and their families to cope with the impact of cancer by providing emotional support, care and post-operative medical aids that are not covered by government or private funding.
To date, nearly $4 million has been raised by the Foundation to provide practical and tangible help for cancer patients receiving treatment in the NSW public hospital service.
100% of all donations are distributed directly to cancer patient care and many hundreds of patients have benefited from the NELUNE Foundation.
Quay Credit Union Staff support the Nelune Foundation with weekly deductions from their pay.
