Therese Turner (MBA, Advanced Diploma in Accounting, MAMI)
Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director
Therese joined the Credit Union as CEO in 2007. She has extensive knowledge and experience across all areas of the Credit Union’s operations, gained over 25 years working for the industry. Previously, Therese held executive management roles at three other credit unions, and was instrumental in delivering results for growth, operational efficiency and improved member benefits.
Having spent her entire career in credit unions, Therese is very passionate about the ideals of mutuals and is highly committed to delivering exceptional value to members as well as supporting the greater Credit Union community.

Leigh Abberton (CA, BComm, MAMI)
Finance Manager & Company Secretary
Leigh is our Finance Manager, a qualified CA responsible for the Credit Union’s support functions: Finance, treasury, collections and human resources. Prior to joining the Credit Union in November 2007, Leigh’s professional background included 5 years working as a Chartered Accountant in a large International Chartered firm, specialising in auditing of financial institutions.
Leigh is proud of the Credit Union’s financial strength, which is supported by the continued efficiency of its operations. However most of all Leigh is proud of the Credit Union’s commitment to provide competitive rates, no ongoing fees for supportive members and to be part of a team that is delivering exceptional products and services to members.

Brett Buxton (Cert IV Financial Services)
Loans Manager
Brett is our Loans Manager and is responsible for all aspects of our lending service. Brett is an experienced lender with 13 years experience in both personal and mortgage lending. He is an accredited Mortgage Consultant and also holds Certificate IV in Mortgage Brokering.
Brett believes that the Credit Union’s approach to lending is what makes the difference. Brett and his co-worker Michael handle every aspect of the loan from application to funding, allowing them to support and provide assistance to members at every stage of the process.

Michelle Towers (Cert IV Financial Services)
Branch Manager
Michelle is our Branch Manager and is responsible running the day to day operations of the branch and member service team. Michelle has over 28 years experience in the finance industry including 15 years with credit unions. Her experience expands across all areas of lending, products and sales, training and frontline management.
Michelle is proud of the strong relationships her staff have built with members and believes that is our key point of difference; our commitment to long-term financial partnerships with our members.
