Quay Credit Union is located in Sydney CBD, and has been providing banking services to its members for over 42 years.

Our members are mostly financial services professionals. People who know where to get the best deal. We even have senior management employees from the big banks that bank with us because our home loan rate is often better than their internal staff rate.

We get our business from our members referring their family and friends to us. After all, when you provide your members with one of the best home loan rates in the country, market leading car and personal loans, transaction fee free banking and competitive deposit rates backed by great service, people do talk.

Our approach

Our approach is very simple – we try to offer a high level of service combined with a range of great value products and services.

We can offer most of the services that you can find at a major bank, but with one important difference – we exist solely to support our members. This means that we aren’t required to make huge profits and any surplus goes back to you through better rates and enhanced products. So what you will notice when you deal with us is:

  • generally better interest rates,
  • generally lower fees, and
  • personalised service

To put it another way – we’re here for the benefit of you – our member.

Our history

1971

Commenced operation as AMP Employees’ and Agents’ Credit Union Limited with membership open to employees and agents of the AMP Group and their families.

1999 AMP Credit Union joined forces with GIO Staff Credit Union. Membership was expanded to include GIO Australia employees and their family.
2007 The Credit Union simplifies its company name to AMP Credit Union Ltd
2010 The Credit Union expands its bond to include people working in financial services industry.
2011 The Credit Union changes its name to Quay Credit Union.
Today We have around 10,000 members and provide most of the products and services that you expect from a major bank.
