Mortgage Offset Account

The offset facility reduces the interest you pay on your home loan by linking it to your everyday savings account. You use the savings account for your day-to-day transactions and the balance in that account is used to reduce the balance of your home loan for interest calculations.

A Mortgage Offset account can be used to offset your savings against either a new or existing Premium Home Loan held with the Credit Union.

  • Average monthly interest on loan - $525.97
  • Mortgage Offset account balance - $10,000
  • Total interest offset over term of loan - $36,312.59
